Anomalies in Your World
Going back as far as the early 1900s, many sightings of strange and otherwise anomalous animals have been reported around the world. Their description and appearance vary, but most users dedicated to the topic correlate them with how long-extinct fauna may have looked in life.
Despite the hypothesis that these animals appear only as "ghosts", or "echoes of the past", the unfortunate reality is that their presence is very much a physical state; with multiple fatal encounters having already occurred.
Why is this happening?
Like many unanswered questions about our world, and going farther, our universe: We don't know. As much as we'd like an official explanation from our government we've been met with only silence instead. Is there a coverup? Maybe. Is there the possibility of a threat posed by these animals? Undoubtedly.
What can I do?
While we're just humble admins of a "fringe" forum, we can't offer any real safety advice nor can we stop you from seeking these things out, one thing remains for certain: YOU'RE NOT SAFE. YOU CANNOT WIN IN A FIGHT AGAINST THESE ANIMALS. YOU CAN AND WILL BE KILLED.
So please, make this easier for yourself and your loved ones and treat it how you would if you were gallivanting around an African Savanna alone: Don't. Mess. With. The. Wildlife.
Me/A friend/Relative caught a weird animal on camera, can I post it here?
Assuming you're not trolling or trying to derail serious discussions, by all means! Evidence is extremely important to the cause, especially photographic. We shouldn't have to stress this anymore than we have, but again, do not harass wildlife/put yourself in harms way just to get a good photograph. It is not worth your life.

Let me know what you think!

Three Icthyosaur beanies i made for myself and some friends! These very silly snoutful creatures were super fun to make. Theyre filled with weighted beans and have a very satisfying flop to their tails

It’s Fossil Friday! If you’ve been inside the Museum’s Hall of Vertebrate Origins, you may have noticed this marine reptile hanging overhead. Meet Thalassomedon haringtoni, a long-necked plesiosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous some 85 million years ago. This behemoth had a relatively small head and many sharp teeth. Its long, flexible neck probably helped in grasping rapidly moving prey. Plesiosaurs, a group related to lizards, lived in the sea. Although they weren’t dinosaurs, they became extinct at the end of the Cretaceous around 65 million years ago, at the same time as the non-avian dinosaurs.
The Museum is open daily from 10 am–5:30 pm! Plan your visit.
